Getting better on some of the stuff I need to move to the Mory now - Orange B is really coming along quite nicely. Have rediscovered Floating to Skerry - works nicely on the Giasco. Also, one to consider looking up - heard The Wounded Hussar played down the pub today - it's really quite nice. May be worth learning up.

Starting to mess around more on the D/G Mory, converting some of the tunes I normally play on the C/F Hohner to work on it (for Lucy's wedding, where I'll only be able to take one accordion - shock!) This means the following need to be reworked: - Mazurka Rigal (this works quite nicely in Am with drones) - Carousel - Grande Bete / La Chansonette - Gloryflower / La Soir Venu - Orange B (in Em!)

And at On Bouge last night... a couple of things of interest.... Gitanes - yep, it's ok - nothing special yet though. Woodcock / Kerfunken - wasn't expected to play these, but some Irish jigs were called for (!) The Woodcock actually comes across very nicely played simply. Not sure about Kerfunken though. Perhaps replace it with that other irish jig from Ben?

Played a couple of things with Mark over a bottle of wine - The Huron Carol, a lovely little piece if ever there was one, and Vivre, which I think we'll rearrange - drop Mort, the second tune, and play Vivre over a longer period developing it a bit more. The Wrong Turn - oh yes, this works beautifully. It's in. Also messing about with Nigel Eatons' "The Rant" - it *might* work, but needs work. Lots of work. Also a schottische I'll refer to only as "GIGCB schottische No2" - I know what I mean! Play it in G, and hold a G drone on it. Also the Weavers March.
